... died on landing. Jase's rocket, the Aussie Oi'Oi'Oi, and Jordan's rocket, the Walrus 1, both had successful but short missions. Just like some other things in my life. The kids then had a chance to show off their secret assignment where they built their own International Space Station out of Lego & Connectors. Very cool. Finally it was time for graduation, where we were presented with our team photo, certificate ...

Up early at Space Camp - ouch! Breakfast included chocolate milk, but a couple of things we could put Vegemite on. We started the day with the 1/6th chair - that gives the idea of walking on the moon. By now we're used to everyone laughing at the Aussies so in addition to the side step, moon walk & bunny hop we did the starfish, the Saturday night fever, the running man & the cheerleader. Next up were some of the simulators, rides & rock climbing wall. The parents were given ...

... social but that's a bit too social! One of the camp Counsellors we met is from Wollongong , she has a physics degree & won a green-card in the lottery! I seriously thought the green-card lottery was a scam, anyway she's been working over here for 5 years. We thought she'd definitely been here a while because she said she wasn't sure to start off with if we were Kiwis or not but realised we had ...

... the extra suitcase! On our school trips over Walshy & I have said it before & I'll say it again - Walmart is overrated. We maybe saved $20, but the pain! Anyone who has seen the 'people of Walmart' sight know what we went through. I took the boys to the 'Outback Steakhouse' for some comfort. It's a faux Aussie restaurant with Americanised Aussie food. Although the Southern cross is a bit wrong on the flag& the only Australian ...

We got up late after a fitful sleep! Headed off to the Nasa Space Center. Amazing history of space travel and lots of fun things for the kids. A real live space shuttle on site, gives perspective on its immense size and the how astronauts can make there way to space. Precision is a must! What a great day! Off to bed as we pack for a vacation on our vacation...Gatlinburg, Tennessee (borders the Great Smoky Mountains National Park), here we ...
