... we were on vacation.
I'm older now. Oh hell, let's face it. I'm old. I know that sometimes plans are meant to be just that. Plans. Nothing more. And that's ok. Life is full of more important things than taking on often overly-ambitious plans. Like taking a break when the signs are there. Like slowing down to enjoy a day without distractions -- and never leaving the house (even someone else's house.) Like taking time to live in a new place, even for a day.
... for the impromptu band. Wish I'd gotten video, but I was too much into the moment to think about breaking away. It's a memory only. But what a memory.
So much to process from this day. I know I'm forgetting something. But Will continues to surprise. Flirting with pretty girls over breakfast. Singing with a band. And! mastering apps on the iPad -- who knew?!?
One thing's for sure -- our travel will never be homogenized. Hot damn.

... tour of Ankorage and that was a lot of fun- the guide was funny and interesting. Ankorage is the largest city in Alaska and the population is only about 300,000. we think we have deer problems in chapel hill but here they ahve to have special fences to keep the moose off of the railroad tracks and the runways for planes! they also have to fence their garbage to keep bears away.
