We left NYC heading to Pensacola, Florida to stay with one of Rachael's friends from camp, Amy Workman, who she hadn't seen since 2002. I was excited to meet her, her fiancee Heather, and their four dogs, also to see Pensacola. When we were driving around upstate NY and New England our usual radio station was 24-Margaritaville with Jimmy Buffett. I can't wait for my biggest worry to be where the lost shaker of ...

Today is our last full day of vacation, and we pretty much PACKED IT IN. We knew the Blue Angels were scheduled to practice at 11:30AM, so we headed for the Pensacola Naval Air Station. Since we got there too early for the show, we decided to tour the museum first - Larry, Josh, and I all love this museum. Well . . . Larry rambled off, and Josh and I went into the museum store. Then Larry surprised Josh and me by remembering that we wanted to make pix of the pirate ship behind Souvenir City. He did baulk on me when I suggested getting his photo as a "pirate." ...

... NEVER forget the eel I caught when I was maybe nine or ten years old. EVIL looking, it was! Anyway, even though it was still windy, we did go to the canal. Larry & Josh proceeded to drown pieces of squid, and I made pix of a beautiful tug pushing barges. Larry caught several fish too small to keep, and one rock. It was a better photo op than fishing trip.

One boat, moving really fast down the canal, ...

    Expect the Unexpected

    ... our motor mounts replaced.

Six days later the mechanics finally tracked down the "difficult to find" part in Michigan, tapped the mounts, installed the part and let us know it was ready. Cue more problems. The battery light was staying on permanently, meaning the alternator was not working properly. Although having the motor mounts repaired and replaced was supposed to fix the intermittent charging, we had to take our car back into Pepboy's.
