      ... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. Yep- gotta get a cholesterol check once we return ...

      ... aspects of the south. The Stockyards used to be an area where cattle such as sheep, lamb, cow, or any other farm animal could be slaughtered for food, or auctioned off to other farmers. Sooner rather than later business had began to suffer. Now, The Stockyards main attractions are the touristy shops, and the rodeo.
