Spring has sprung in Denton. The trees are leafing up, roses are blooming and wildfowers and birds are everywhere. I walked into Denton this morning, about 2.6km. On the way I found a little piece of Tibet. It is a yoga place so I will be going back there for at least one class, just for the atmosphere. ... and Spanish - Texas was a Spanish Colony until the 1800's. I found a great little coffee shop called 'Jupiters' which is a bit like 'The Sweat Shop' back in Townsville used to be. Loads of coffees, smoothies etc and a bohemian atmosphere. Uni students populate this place, all with their laptops, tablets out because it has free wifi. And the shops; there is a dress shop called La De Da where I could buy every dress!!! How unusual. Its sister shop next ...
From our overnight at Lake Hubbard, we drove to Dallas to the George W. Bush Presidential Library, a request from Jimmy. EXCELLENT choice- so interesting, from the first exhibit about the American pastime of baseball ( and ALL the Presidents involvements), to the Response to 9-11 exhibit, and the Oval Office reproduction. We are now ready for our dreary drive down 35 to Austin for the night. Luckily the outlet malls along the highway made for perfect shopping breaks.
