I reserved a two queen bed room and when I got there, they told me that they were "overbooked" and that they would put me in a suite for the same price. I appreciated the upgrade, but if my daughter and grandkids were with me as expected, it would have not been satisfactory. I would go there again, but only if I am by myself.

Two hour drive into VA - everyone up and in the bus in time. UVA tour by a nice volunteer. Lots of cool traditions (yes, they dress up for football games - guys in ties, girls in pearls. Bustling campus in a lovely town Favorite school so far for many: university of Richmond. Beautiful grounds and buildings. Amazing liberal arts with pre-professional training. Large campus for a 3,000 undergraduate population ...

Today we woke up at the early time of 6:15 in order to go to Busch gardens with Josh and Tyler! After the drive which we spent playing a movie game we got to Busch gardens and found there were a lot of great rides. There were shows but we were simply to lazy to walk over and find them. After a day of riding some big roller coasters in the heat (including Apollo's Chariot 8 times) we drove home (stopping for fast food) whilst purposefully driving each other insane for the ride ...

It took us til 9 to get up this morning (I'm surprised Zac made it for that time even with the time changes) and we had some extremely healthy cinnamon rolls for breakfast! At around 11 we left the house to go to Shenandoah National Park which had stunning views, mountain ranges, and plenty of snacks for a picnic. We went on a ...

... park is really green and the skyline drive is really nice. We would have enjoyed it more if when we stopped at overlooks they had boards to tell you what you were seeing. We kept seein the same thing so the decision to exit was pretty easy. So we're off our planned route. Tonite we're rooming it in Culpeper, VA. Closest campground we found out of the park had two reviews and both were incredibly lousy. Basically an avoid at all costs. So we did. ...
