... rutted, rocky, dirt road, we had a great day out in the forest. Funny that we just came from Tennessee where there was so much water that it really effected the trips we wanted to do, and now we are in Arkansas where there is not enough water to do the things we want to do. Go figure.

Our last stop was with Lauren and Eric, Luke and John William in Little Rock, Arkansas. The boys had a blast swimming and the girls had some great cuzzie time too. Eric even had a break from call and was able to eat dinner with us. We woke up the next morning and headed all the way into New Iberia. The family was waiting for us with a warm welcome. We all agreed 10 days and about 3000 miles across the country was surprisingly fun! And God blessed us with a safe trek ...

Arkansas was next, and we reached our destination slightly after seven! Ahhhh, Country House! (La Quinta Inn, for all of the Spanish speakers in the audience). As we got closer to Little Rock there was a sign that we were on the “Purple Heart Trail” which are roads etc. dedicated to those in the US Armed Forces that have received the Purple Heart medal.

A few of us decided it was finally time to give our bikes some TLC again (especially with another century tomorrow), so we hit them with a hose and some degreaser.
