I went back to Columbus today. This time with my mom! To do SUP yoga! The water in the evening was twice as high as yesterday morning (10ft vs 4-5ft). It was windy and about to rain too! There were half a dozen groups whitewater rafting and even more in canoes. It looked fun! We got into the water. My mom had some issues paddling and floated away, haha! But she got ...

... an army base, so I thought it'd be desolate for some reason. But it was a regular ol' southern city with brick buildings and walkways, fountains, and a pretty river where you can go kayaking, white water rafting, and paddleboarding! There were 5 others who showed up. They were all new to paddleboard AND yoga! Who are these brave souls!?? They were like in their 40s too. Go ladies!! The instructor was named Charlotte, a fit, tanned ...

I am starting to organize my room: 1) things to take with me to the camps (5 weeks), 2) things to take back to NC in August, and 3) things that will stay here. So many things I could honestly live without...! Haha.

... pool again for my parents' airbnb listing. It's so sunny and lush here! I also felt like doing some challenging yoga poses and had an inversion workshop by myself, haha. Inversion is any yoga pose where your pelvis is placed higher than your head (so think headstand, handstand, shoulder stand). These belong to the vairagya category. When you do a certain pose, you want to do it with a certain attitude or feeling, called Bhava in Sanskrit. Vairagya means ...

... by showing a basset hound licking whatever else that represents the bacteria. Sketchy Micro does a great job of setting scenes and weaving stories to help memorize things. Microbio was definitely one of the hardest blocks in 1st year due to the sheer amount of memorization, so this is great! It's a fun way to ease back into things.

So yeah! Time has been going by steadiliy. I've been very content and grateful with where I am!
