    ... 00 and drove all around that place to kill a couple of hors before check-in. Had some really good Blue Bell ice cream in a shop in one of the several developed mini-strip shopping centers. We were so full by then that we decided we would have very little for dinner, so we bought a wonderfully smelling fresh loaf of cheese bread in a bakery, thinking we'd have wine and bread for dinner on the patio of Mountain Creek Inn.     ... the trail before we joined the walk up but after an hour we thought we were lost so we headed down across the railway to the road. I asked some walkers and they said we had to keep walking round. Finally we got to the path and headed up. The walk up is only a mile but by now the kids were pretty tired. Part of the walk up is pretty steep towards the top. Roxton, Paige and I ran up about 60meters. Good hill training! Paige ...

    ... The city was beautiful. Lots of old original homes. The 22 public squares are all dedicated to people who helped mold the city. Highway 80 was renamed to Victory Highway after WWI and a palm tree was planted for each fallen soldier from Tybee Island into Savannah.
