      ... where it gave us two options, we obviously chose the wrong one, and ended up having to get on the interstate for a bit. Rejoining at Joplin but missing the first exit which took us back onto route 66' we ended up looping around on the spaghetti junction without a clue which way to head. Luckily we did self navigate ourselves and pass a Route 66 sports bar, so we pulled in for a much needed bevy as we both started getting s little tetchy with the sketchy directions. ...

I think, considering the downturn BSprings seems to be experiencing they could have kept this gem open and staffed with volunteers made it a real drawcard for the town. My suggestion is that they combined it with the R66 visitors centre - they have a guy living in town that inspired the Mater character in the Cars movie - he would be great to have there too.       ... go by and generally feel smug because our "small house" certainly has a different "big yard" this evening! There are definite advantages to making like a turtle and having your home with you!

      After the show, we will drive back to the campground for the night. Tomorrow morning we will be heading eastward once again. Have to get back to the sweltering heat at DWLP at some point in our lives I guess...
