    ... see as many museums, churches and cathedrals as possible. A trip to Versailles, evening cruise on the Seine, obligatory Eiffel Tower photos and more are also on the list.     Have been busy with family so missed a blog. Drove from Guttenberg to Clintonville via Lacrosse on Friday. La Crosse is on the Mississippi and is a very beautiful town. went to Grandad Bluff where we overlooked the town and river. Lovely drive from there to our relatives.     Next, we were in one of the EAA tents where there was a display of a B-17 ball turret. This is a ball barely 3 feet in diameter into which a young man lowered himself, then did his best to use the two .50 caliber machine guns to protect himself and his crew from attacking German fighters. While looking at it, who should walk up but a veteran who had done just that in N. Africa and Italy during WWII. Very impressive to actually meet ...

    ... miles, ate unhealthy food, and looked at various airplanes and exhibits.

    One of the neatest areas was the chalet for the US Government, where Alex and I flew the Wright Brothers Flyer simulator, learned about the National Historic site dedicated to the Wrights in Dayton, and visited with a member of the Customs and Border Patrol Pipe and Drum team (he was wearing a kilt).
