    Tuesday was our first wet and miserable day but it was nice to slow down. We attended Tom and Joey's Rotary Club - Fitchburg-Verona for lunch, where we were warmly welcomed. It is only a small club with 23 members but like most clubs works well for the community.     ... of years ago parts of Wisconsin were under ice and when this thawed, the Wisconsin River forced its way through the soft sandstone and eventually linked with the Mississippi River further west. During our duck ride, we passed sections of eroded sandstone from this event. Fudge is another speciality of this tourist destination so we stocked up for tomorrow night's gathering.
