    Finally Home

    ... gut! Derek had two bratwurst, Munich and Rattlesnake/Rabbit with spaetzle, Larry had a bratwurst with potato salad and I had a turkey reuben with coleslaw and spaetzle. We got home about 4:00. It was great to be home but the unpacking, pile of mail and newspapers, 21 phone messages and 284 emails kept us busy for a while. It is great to be home!

    ... on the shuttle bus. Columbus has a big indoor/outdoor shopping complex with a wide variety of stores so we wandered around, bought a few things and had lunch before we drove to Athens.     ... I love, called "Sweetie-Licious Pies", written by a gal who has a 50's-style pie/lunch diner not far from Grand Rapids; plus a few other small odds and ends.

    Then it was on to the local Walmart parking lot, where we've spent many a night en route to our various destinations. The next morning, it was on to Virginia, which begins with my next post.

    ... said that when Talia gets in the school setting she is making many of her decisions when she is on the defense, in the "flight or fight" mode and does not feel safe. Talia needs to have her safety, comfort, and connections established with both the other children and the teachers.     Talia has been in Pre-K at Primrose for about 6 weeks now. She is doing better and better every week at behaving herself. The staff there really cares about the kids and takes the time with Talia to help her learn and behave. She is learning letter recognition and is able to write many of her letters already! Talia is learning so much there and we can't say enough about how happy we are with the Primrose school!
