    ... Oak Island seemed to take forever. We finally made it to the beach house around midnight. My sister, Beth Ann, arrived several hours before us, and my cousin Joe got here right before us. He's on a photo gathering trip and will be staying for several days or however long he wants, or until we get sick of him. Whichever comes first.

    We left Greenville at 12:30 pm and drove to CLT, parked, checked in (each of our 2 large checked bags were just under the limit of 51lbs... phew!), cleared thru TSA without incident and then relaxed in the USAirways lounge using our complimentary pass until our scheduled 4:45 pm departure to Madrid (MAD). He said to give him 2 minutes and he would call the owner of the property and arrange for him to show us the cemetery. JB called back and said Curt would meet us at his house. We drove up a driveway that was only suited for 4X4's, and Curt Doherty walked out to meet us. He lead us back into a wooded lot and through a gate marked Springfield/ Langston Cemetery.
