    ... to close 20 minutes early as it was quiet when we arrived. She gave us the royal tour and stayed after closing time. The 2nd floor was an apartment for the world famous composer Dvorak, who spent a summer there. He couldnt get back home from NYC and someone suggested he go to Spillville which was all Czech.

    ... Iowa. Literally every truck on the planet was here. It's vast inside also. Sleep on the bus was impossible as they keep opening the side of the bus and hoisting wheelchair passenger and luggage in and out.     Early 4 am start to the day! We flew to Denver, then on to Minneapolis. Arrived early and both flights were smooth.     ... an hour with us explaining steam locomotive operations as well as showing us his project train he is building. After that, he took us out to show us his pump hand truck and his 1952 Plymouth diesel locomotive. Both were working and after he spent some time showing the kids how to operate them, he let them take them both for a ride!!!!!
    Literally, he let Justin and Sydney fully operate the throttle and brake all the way ...

    Leaving Kellogg, Iowa, we sadly lost our dash a/c and had to sweat it out 100 miles from Forest City. But arrive we did and stopped off at the local Ford dealership to get the parts ordered.
