... be a Dunkin' Donuts (recommended on Yelp--tells you something about the range of restaurants in Beckley!). It is now some generic donut shop and the donut was inedible (REALLY stale!) and the coffee undrinkable. We were having a bad day!

The coal mine tour, though pricey, was quite interesting however . They take you down into the mine in a little train and give you a very thorough picture of what it was like to be a miner in the first decade of the ...

The first time I went to the New River Gorge, it was awesome! I had just started climbing outside and I was ecstatic to try out this area everyone was raving about. My friend Jeremy who got me outside in the first place invited me out with him, the other Jeremy (aka Fox) and a couple of his very cool friends (Josh, Adam, and Daniel). I got there late on a Friday night after they had already been climbing and found ...

... that do no have accompanying sounds of thunder. This is exactly what we experienced on Wednesday, as a storm approached and the camp alarms sounded. Rest assured that we follow the safety guidelines when there is lightning in the area. Mr. Touchberry has spent years in this region and knows precautionary measures for lightning very well. Despite many other camps still running around ignoring the Red Flag lightning alerts, our camp buckled down ...
