We did visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, a non-profit org. dedicated to preserving Alaska’s Culture and Heritage. Our guide took us through 10,000 years of Alaska Native History and culture through dance and game demonstrations, explanation of traditional
Native dwellings, and some excellent exhibits.

It was well worth the time.
