    ... extreme heat was taking its toll so we caught our bus and rode it back to the Vatican. Along the way we saw several more sights that we can look at tomorrow. We just missed our shuttle back to the campground so we walked a short distance back to an ice cream place and relaxed in the shade with ice creams. I opted for a diet coke.     ... feel like we're riding 1st. Leather seats with electronic controls for reclining, WIFI, free snacks and drinks, 300 kmh! Arrived at our hostel at about 7pm. Great spot. Kind of like a supersized version of the KOA! We've got our own A/C bungalow complete with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen.     ... dinner until about 8:00 p.m. – but from that point on, the joint was jumping! Our meal, like many in this part of Europe, started with a meat plate which included proscuitto and salami. This was followed by bread and "chip puffs" - not sure what these are actually called but they were very light, puffy and delicious.

    ... only did he make it to third base - and with Coach Vo as the third base coach you can be sure there was a large body protecting Sam with every pitch so no line drive might make contact - but Sam boldly stole home with an impressive slide into home plate. The crowd of course roared!

    ... dinner or lunch. Per Andreas, an Italian meal typically includes a meat plate( prosciutto for sure), a pasta plate, main course (meat with vegetable), then salad with fruit, dessert. Unfortunately, we did not yet have this information so when the first course was served, we thought we were done, then came the next course, and the next, and the next - you get my drift.

    We did not arrive until after 7:00 p.m.- no problem - in Italy it appears dinner is from 8:00 ...
