Travel Blogs from Maleny
It looks like we have limited options available travelling up the coast in this area.
So we decided to take a road trip west, inland a little from the Sunshine Coast and head north via a bush setting and re-emerge out on the coast a little further up.
Our first stop was at Maleny with an inspection of the Maleny Show Grounds.
What a nice looking location.
We started up a conversation with another couple that had been camped here for the last 3 days and ...
... The water was cool at first, but after a minute or so felt quite warm.
There were lots of people out and about enjoying the sun, some walking their dogs, some swimming, some just relaxing on the sand, lots of kids enjoying the surf on their Boogyboards.
After an hour or so, headed back to van it was already well after 3pm.

... Amazing, since it was only in 1970 that Steve's father started out as a reptile center on 1 acre of land.
But then, mid afternoon, as it is expected in Brissie this time of season change, rain comes in, and we return to the city, where we finish the evening off at a nice little vegan restaurant at SouthBank.
tomorrow, if sun is shining, it is off to Moreton Bay for some swimming and sailing.
And, no, not thinking of countdown yet.

... of the highway :). Journeyed along towards Warwick and about 15km out we heard a bump, and Bob realized that the cover to the front window of the van had somehow flown away. Arrived at Warwick , drove straight through and continued onto Leslie Dam. Well, we booked our site, powered and had some lunch.
