... Cafe. Their lunch special on Friday was fried catfish and shrimp with sweet potato fries. We topped it off with their bread pudding - the waiter thought it was a fabulous dish - but the bread pudding had raisins in it which is not my favorite. But they put on the side of the bread pudding fried bananas and caramelized nuts with a bit of ice cream that was just as good as the bread pudding!!!
... anyway when the rest of the group arrived I decided that I should really see a doctor. I'm glad I did although $200 later, 2 lots of antibiotics at 6 pills a day for 10 days isn't much fun. At least my leg is less swollen and getting better each day. On the plus side I did get to eat at a real local eatery called Taco Petes, ate huevos rancheros and tried my first and not my last horcahata - I love this drink!! 3. And above all - flying (especially internationally) is completely out of your hands. Even if you do everything right, things can still not work out. Bring a spare set of clothes in your carryon in case you're stuck somewhere (or a crazy husband who's willing to drive 5 hours in the middle of the night to get home).
