... was right at lunchtime . Fairly large dining area inside and al fresco with a nice view of the river. Everyone's casually dressed and very laid back, very at ease atmosphere. Sonya arrives looking great as usual. Smiling, excited, eager and hungry all in one. We get seated and order lemonade, really good stuff, and she tells me what she's ordered in her previous visits. ... waiting for some attention.
I had managed to contact a BMW dealers who were happy to fit my bike in for its service and we had booked a couple of nights in a motel at San Antonio so with the bike all loaded we were ready for our ride, the weather did not look very promising as it was cloudy and misty but within an hour it had brightened up. Although in southern Texas it was still very similar to Louisiana but ...

    Bugs galore

... wandered along the river before leaving for Houston. San Antonio is a lovely city and you definitely feel the pride that locals have for the history of the Alamo. The only bad thing about the campsite/area is the humidity and the bugs - I felt like I was being eaten alive by mosquitoes last night and the huge, strange bugs flying around us this morning were ...
