... didn't lose a cruise ship passenger today...so good safety record.

We got back into a fairly quiet Sunday town, found an open store and outfitted everyone with tee shirts made in China...not a great many options. We were thirsty and so happy to be directed to the Darwin RLS Services & Social Club where we were admitted as guests from the cruise ship and soon had a schooner of cold beer (15 oz the chap from Tasmania told me over drinks) in front of ...

In many ways it felt a lot like a very small, lower key Vancouver, some areas very closely resembling Stanley Park. People were friendly, the city was impeccably clean, and it was a nice experience. I now have a bit of a suspicion though, with all the whiskys I had that night, including the ones I paid for, I think the liquor is being sold short, it has to be. The night of the gala I had in total around about 8 Whiskys and 4 Scotchs and I WASN’T on the floor, nor hungover the next day. With that amount of alcohol I would have expected myself surfing off the back of the ship ...

Great day! No sleep in - the kids saw to that! But then after a relaxing breakfast we played a few board games, had a lovely lunch, and then lay around in the afternoon. The kids got a bit bored with the adults sleeping so uncle Lindsay made a water slide & got them nice & wet! This evening we went to some family friends which was lovely, ...

... on the rocks just staring at us that slipped into the water which freaked me out a bit but I managed to get over it. I was more scared of the crocs which signs said inhibited the water in the wet season but currently nets were in place to 'supposedly' trap them so they couldn't enter. We then visited some hot springs which were kinda lukewarm but in a really cute little creek with a waterfall you could slide down. Next was Katherine gorge where we walked up to ...
