... After a stressful match with lots of opportunities to score for Belgium but with an amazing American goalkeeper it went to supplementary time. And yes after 10 min the Belgians finally scored, funny thing was that as it was after midnight the guard had told the bar owner to mute the tv. We wondered why there was a sudden influx of campers last night and then it clicked – it's May day and the Spanish don’t wait for the following Monday before they take the holiday. It is also Madrid day tomorrow so my guess is that a lot of people on the site are from Madrid and making a long weekend of it.

Another circular walk today, up the coast to La Isleta del Moro, a fishing village that still maintains traditional fishing methods. It was inland to the town of Rodalquilar. Up until 1966, gold was mined here and we walked up past the now derelict gold mine. The walk took us through a large mining area evident by the occasional derelict buildings and tunnels going into the rock with signs warning of the danger of entering the mine.

A super campsite on the beach, warm again at 30C when we arrived but cooling to 23 C overnight. 100 metres to the beach and 50 metres into the village, facilities excellent and pitch sizes huge for Spain. Very full though with a majority of people staying for the long term over the winter with complex set ups, settees and wide screen tv in their awning ...
