... up the long flight home & so far it's been extremely relaxing.
Monday 8th September ... I rolled out of my big comfy feather bed around 9.30am . After a scrumptious breakfast we headed to The Mall of the Emirates shopping centre. Zara had some nice things but you know ... Fendi , Max Mara, Louis V, Burberry .. Well one can buy those things anywhere !!! (Ha Ha!)

After another lovely breakfast we headed of to the Dubai Mall to go to the top of the Burj Khalifa. We shared a taxi with two young women from Canada and were able to take them to the Burj as they were running late for their reservation - they were very appreciative. Our layover in Dubai was long enough to take a tour and a nap before departing to Johannesburg. It was night time so it was hard to see everything, but the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa, was absolutely beautiful lit up at night. We also had time to stop at the mall that happens to be the biggest mall in the world. We did not have time to walk the entire thing and most shops were closed but that is a place I would definitely want to return to and do some damage! ...
