... the "Her Majesty's Secret Service" movie in the late 60's.
In case you weren't a fan, they had plenty of notifications of this fact to let you know.

In spite of it being from a package mix, I can tell you that it will likely go down as being the most memorable hot chocolate I ever had at Piz Gloria. Actually make that hot chocolate mixed with Grand Marnier. Hey, the Swiss felt the restaurant needed revolving and I felt the ...

Field Trip! To Bern, Switzerland

... so she decided to go to the doctor, and I went with her because I was really interested to see what it was like. The Swiss are known for their exceptional medical system and quality care. We had some difficulties finding the place, but finally we found the "day clinic." When we got there, there was only one form for Annie to fill out, and she had to wait less than 45 minutes to see the doctor. She said the doctor had excellent bedside manner, spoke English to ...

I love Switzerland!

... up. I guess it's because the water moves so fast you kind of float at teh top. It looked fun. I was going to do it with some people I met at the hostel but it started to rain. So I went for a tour of the Swiss parliment, since Bern is the capital of Switzerland. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, internet is 12 Canadian dollars per hour so I'm trying to get this info out quick.

... accurate public clocks in the world, right in the center of the city, called the "Time-Bell", or "Zytglogge". After Bern we headed up to the mountains above Bern known as the Bernese Oberland, where some of the best ski resorts in the world are located. It looks like a picture book of Switzerland and the Alps. . We didn't jsut ...

Kind of wierd for everyone that came, but an enjoyable night out none the less. and Fribourg was spectacular at night. Afterwards we found a pub that wasnt completely full and had a drink to warm up, then i hiked up the hill with Peter to collect the car so the everyone didnt have to walk so far (I have to try and work off all this bad food that i have been eating!) and we headed back to Bern ...

can you actually overdose on cheese?

... Matterhorn slowly came into view. It looked utterly amazing, a rugged and sheer jagged peak covered in snow, and a whisp of cloud which looked like it had been caught on the tip and dragged off by the wind. It looked so isolated and windswept. We reached the research station at the top and stepped out of the train into the freezing wind. a cloud had just come over and so without any sunlight it was utterly freezing. -4 degrees to be exact! We felt sorry for the huge cute ...

Swiss Yoodling

... with a moo-moo cow, don't ask!) July 31, 2006 I felt EXTREMELY Heidi-esque today as we ventured into the Swiss Alps to Mt. Pilatus. The air was so purifying as we took our trek to the summit although the stone steps were exhausting! The views were seriously breathtaking with the clouds dipped behind the mountain peaks, which were dotted with rows of alpine trees. This place was seriously so peaceful and the air really detoxed me. Nothing like a good old mountain hike!

Switzerland. The most neutral/random place on Earth

... we took a train to Montreux. It would have been perfect... if that was the city we had reserved our hostel at...yeah. When we got there we asked someone for directions. They knew where our hostel was, in Vevey...two cities away. We probably should've checked mapquest a little more carefully when we made those hostel reservations. So, we hopped back on a train to go back two cities, and the train did ...

... the country. Switzerland made shitloads off WWII, slave labour and Jewish plunder from Germany being the major contributors. History: Luzern's founding is lost in history. The town's name probably derives from the Celtic word lozzeria, meaning "a settlement on marshy ground", and that's more or less all Luzern was in the mid-eighth century when the small Benedictine monastery which existed here is thought to have come under the control of the Alsatian Abbey of Murbach ...

Jacob, the 11 year old, tries really hard to speak to me in a hodge podge of French, Spanish and English. Or he recites lyrics from American pop songs and then asks me to tell him what he said because he has absolutely no idea. Sarah, she is 9, when I talk to her, basically, Sarah stares at me then yells, "mama, mama, french this ...
