strawberries…that is until today. It
only took a few minutes for 3 of us to fill 2 large containers full of the huge
sweet berries while Heidi kept snapping pictures.
Dory, the parents of our group joined us all for a bar-be-que. Tom cooked hamburgers, Marianne made a tasty
salad, and the beer and wine flowed.
Dessert was of course the berries and some chocolate bars ...
... the view of the lake and river. The water in these lakes and rivers is uncannily clean. We watched as ducks scavenged for bread from tourists and almost got pulled into the waterway leading from river to lake. You can see all the way to the bottom of the river, so we could see the chilly fish swimming there too. The bus ride from Thun to Interlaken was an hour, but it was breathtaking! ...

Bern is truly a great city, full of old and new - if you want experience real city Switzerland, the capital is a freakin awesome place to start.
