    Charming Hotel

    from

Breathtaking views from this charming hotel. Excellent location allowed us easy access to everything we needed. Staff was knowledgable and very helpful. Great value for the price.

    Great service and family hotel

    from

had 5 days recently at this lake side hotel and the service daily from all of the staff excellent whch added to this unique location overlooking the lake.

not only was the hotal and staff friendly but also the catering staff and so with the good location for trains transport and the local shops and facilitie then this is a place to go not just in the summer but out of that season as we did. good base for exploring other areas and even wothout a csar the good value trains and buses make it good as well

As I say not a large hotel but a relatively small family facilty with the benefits that you would expect

    Enjoyable Experience

    from

A fantastic location overlooking the lake and close to the charming town. We stayed for a short break in beautiful late winter days and the hotel provided a great base for seeing this magnificent area. The hotel itself has undergone some renovation and was exceedingly good value.

The catering staff were excellent and went out of their way to be helpful and attentive.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! This is a dump.

    from

I just returned a week ago from 2 weeks in Italy and this hotel was the worst!! It's rated as a 4 star hotel, and should be a 2 star. The rooms were tiny and very poorly furnished. Our bathroom did not have a shower, only a hand held shower wand in the tiniest bathtub you've ever seen...and not even a shower curtain around it. Taking a shower meant the floor was totally soaked and a real hazard. We had a "view" of an alley, and the rates were not cheap. Other guests that we chatted with over breakfast were also complaining and said they were going to write letters of complaint when they returned home. One of the comments heard several times, was that the people on the desk acted like you were bothering them if you asked a simple question. I've stayed in a Motel 6 that was more comfortable.

    Good value

    from

This hotel has a great location, right on the lake front and next to the main square, Piazza Cavour. Try booking through the consolidator website, www.supranational.com We saved 40% on the rate the hotel was asking. Rooms are rather dated but clean and reasonably spacious. Ask for a balcony - it's lovely to sit outside and watch the activity on the lake. For the price, this hotel is recommended.

    Do Not Stay Here

    from

While the hotel itself is nice, and location is great, I would not recommend this hotel. The maid and housekeeping staff are thieves. On Saturday, May 27, 2003, my spouse accidentally left a diamond and sapphire ring in the bathroom after a shower and getting dressed for the day. We discovered this after leaving the hotel for the day, and when we returned the ring was gone. Yes, it should have been either worn, or locked up in the safe, but it was accidentally left out in a rush to get to a scheduled tour departure. The staff and management did absolutely nothing to try to find the culprit of the crime, only blaming us for leaving the ring out on the bathroom counter. Other than that, the hotel was wonderful, but based upon this experience, I would not return to this facility.

    Hello friends and family
We are not sure if you have received my blog from Cinque Terra. I really hope so as it all seems far away now we are in a totally different part of Italy and far from there now. It was an amazing journey and like nothing we have ever seen. Our day taking a train and boat along the coast was beautiful and breath taking …

... streets with cobbled ground leading to as yet unexplored shops and cafés. We strolled along the front and then up the hill behind the buildings to see view. Sampled the gelato, had to be done! Strawberry and coffee, not together! Then came down the narrow cobbled street stopping off at a wine shop. The shop had bottles open that you could sample and man was so helpful. Bought a red and a sparkling red (Hope Stu likes) and some limoncello. Once back at waters ...

... around the harbour front of Bellagio and it was rather quaint with a large population of tourists, predominantly American (perhaps they were expecting to be in Las Vegas at the casino with the same name). Without a great understanding of what was in Bellagio, we began walking up the stairs that ran perpendicular to the harbour front, which led to a square with a church and further more shops (including a gelateri which we offered our ...

Went to the market in Lennon, the weather was overcast and rain in the afternoon and evening. Went to our apartment to have roast chicken (from the market) with H&W with salad and bread. In the evening we went to Argegno for drinks. Happy hours....served with pizza, focaccia, cheese & honey, salami etc, all free of ...

    ... building is absolutely massive.

We made our way through the old centre towards the Duomo & stumbled on the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II a very swish mall with a soaring vaulted glass roof. Gordon had some fun in there at the Mercedes store. Then on to the Duomo - the third largest church in the world apparently & kind of hard to believe they get much bigger than this. Didn't see much point in trying to take photos as it ...
