... new each day. But you can always skip a paragraph or two in my blogs as you know.

It seems in 1910 Dutch sailors had heard of the dragons ( remember...the Dutch were the explorers and colonizers in Indonesia). They stopped, found a "dragon", measured it at 6'9" and reported back that it spat fire. If it looks like a dragon and spits fire it must be a dragon. Another sortie to the island with two dead and two alive ...

... some really nice photographs on exhibition available for purchase but all in all it wasn't as impressive. From here we headed to Pasar Baru, a shopping street around the corner but we didn't do much except walk through with nothing jumping out at us. You know us Brits, we pride our selves on being grumpy and like bond over a good moan haha. ...

Well - technically I'm typing this from London... but wish to record the experience of 20 odd hours of flights, transfers, airports etc.

I guess (now that I've slept) it wasn't too bad... but really - it was fairly awful.

#1 objective: we got here safely... so yay!

No missed or delayed planes... no lost children... no Bali belly on a plane: so double yay!

But the boys didn't sleep on the 9 - ...

A Random Expedition

A travel blog entry by bronwyn.donovan on Feb 01, 2014

... my chops cooked perfectly in a very flavor some sauce. Though the menu has been cut down a lot and the meal I usual get was not longer available. Again the drinks menus had changed and I was forced to find something other than my usual no-jitio, a mojito without the rum. I could live with a new menu but what really disappointed was the service. With only one poor waitress trying to services the whole restaurant we were left waiting for quiet sometime something, ...
