... the organised part is late, I explore nearby graveyards a bit. Then we move even more south and the landscape changes from fields back to mountainous semi-desert wasteland. The borders between Turkey and Armenia and between Armenia and Azerbaijan are closed. Turkey and Armenia still are not talking due to the fact that Turkey (and the US) will not acknowledge the genocide of Armenian people. Azerbaijan and Armenia are still technically at war and the borders are sealed with military troops. This would make it a necessity to enter Georgia twice if we wanted to go to Armenia. ... kids- newborn to 6 years old. The lady who ran the orphanage said that once they get to age 7 they are sent to another orphanage. Not only are the kids little, but they also have both physical and mental disabilities and their parents sent them to the orphanage by choice.
