    Final day of riding; today we rode to Arbon for the conclusion of the trip. Today was hot and sunny; the ride was level and beautiful, following the Rhine for part of the way, then along the Lake.     ... over it - where are the messy parts of this country? I found one cabin in the forest, actually, where someone had perhaps tried to keep warm with newspaper, and left it there - that's the ONLY mess I saw in the forest! Now, in the countryside, I saw horse manure and 3 cigarette packets - well, where did they come from!!?? How sad of those people to spoil the record of NO litter!!

    ... you know the time 24/7 (handy in the wee hours of the morning) firstly the catholic church clock rings, then a few minutes later, the protestant church bells ring - I'm not sure yet who's early and who's late!!
