Final day of riding; today we rode to Arbon for the conclusion of the trip. Today was hot and sunny; the ride was level and beautiful, following the Rhine for part of the way, then along the Lake. The bike path went through horse country, forested areas with plenty of shade, and through small towns. Lunch was in a church yard near Widn; there were …

Full of history and amazing buildings and people were everywhere. It was great to walk through and enjoy. We thought about having dinner in this delightful town but because we were free camping decided to head back. We had our own party at the beast and took advantage of the fact that we had no neighbours and turned the music ...

... around the northern part of the lake wasn't as pretty as it had been further south, but Konstanz itself was a nice place to visit.

We started by climbing the tower of the Munster for a view, then crossed the river to visit the Archaeological Museum - mostly in German, but very interesting nonetheless. I do wish we could have read more of the exhibits, which seemed to give lots of information about Stone and Bronze ...
