Final day of riding; today we rode to Arbon for the conclusion of the trip. Today was hot and sunny; the ride was level and beautiful, following the Rhine for part of the way, then along the Lake. The bike path went through horse country, forested areas with plenty of shade, and through small towns. Lunch was in a church yard near Widn; there were …

Looks like I'm getting back on track, and I can see the sizeable town of Bludunz up ahead. But first, snuggled up next to it on the hillside is the town of Nuziders. Here I pause for a strum session in a mini park with an old fashioned well--noticing what looks like a Turkish family leaving their very Austrian looking home across the street.

No "immigrant ghettos" here in Nuziders...

... br> Wanting to avoid the busy road, I take a side trail which I hope will run parallel, which takes me high up the mountain, dead ending at a landfill tucked away in the forest... so it's back the trail once again. This time I decide to just follow the road for a while, passing an enormous crane factory... a reminder that this area isn't just about raising dairy cattle and making cheese...
