... The next part of the walk took us all by surprise by its sheer steepness...is that a word? We walked up to Alto de Poio which brought us to the beginning of a walk along the ridge of the mountain along a road. We decided to take another rest at Fonfria where we saw Sitske and Markus again, and surprise surprise wifi; the first in almost 48 hours...oh the needs of the modern day pilgrim...so I checked emails and the ever important Facebook and felt much better...sad ...

... Canadians in the other beds. Unfortunately, the other might be taken by two women whom Warren had a run in with in the bar downstairs. We were booking in and they were so rude, trying to push in, just so they could get a drink. We are amazed at how pushy some Europeans are as most times we are happy to wait and take our turn. ... they qualify for a compostella, the same as we do for going 790 kms. Tomorrow we pass the town that allows the 100 kms walkers to qualify so there will be many more people on the track. We hope that by stopping in the middle between the recommended stops that we will be OK.

... Nightmare to get through but then headed down the road and crossed an ancient bridge that looked every bit roman and if it wasn't it was certainly medieval. The walls continued for a long time after that on an old track that ran mostly through shade. Very old road.
