... just being in Venice. We walked through the narrow streets beside the canals, and got lost a few times! We did a lot of window shopping & a little bit of actual shopping when Brook brought some shoes. We caught the ferry back to Lido, the first thing we did when we got there was find out what ferry to get back to the train station in the morning, so we wouldn't miss our train to Switzerland. We then cruised up the road to Lido ...

A long day on the road today. We headed off ok and had been on the road for a couple of hours when our tour director got a phone call to say that one of the travellers had left a wallet behind. ... min bus ride to city of Venice. I have a comfortable and clean cabana for the next two nights! When my friends and I checked in the woman asked for our passports! I was the only one who brought mine! Thank goodness I did or we would have had to find somewhere else to stay. We sat around until 2 to officially check in. Then we took a bus to Venice and walked around/got lost. It's so romantic there. We took a gondola ride right as it was nearing dark. It ...

Stop 9: Venice, Italy

A travel blog entry by meaghanslatts on Aug 12, 2013

... Venice.. With a map of course but still, I purposefully got us lost on a few occasions because getting lost in Venice means really discovering it ( haha well that was what I claimed!) The shops were riddled with colour, glitter and glass art plus too many masks to even try on! Zoe and I did our best though and on several occasions were left with glitter on our faces we simply couldn't get off!! :) Ben gave the colour filter application on our camera ...
