    ... the teacher was able to balance her time with each grade.  Many of the students were working on the metric system. The last lesson we watched was an eighth grade English lesson.  This lesson was fun because we could understand what was going on much better!  Fun to hear.     Got in the car and started heading north for Switzerland. Before the border we bought a vignette (sticker for Autobahn) and filled the tank up as the fuel in Switzerland is dearer, like everything else. Cruising along, until we got near the St. Gotthard Tunnel (16.4Km) to take us through the Alps.     ... it had the distinctive hump on its back. The Bears have a nice modern enclosure which is built on a slope down towards the River Aare, complete with a large swimming pool at the bottom. I didn’t stay long at the Bear Park as the Rain Poncho didn’t seem to be providing as much protection as I had hoped. I took the Bus back to the Hotel to have a rest and dry out.
