Got on a Eurostar (fast train) in Rome for our trip to Switzerland. I was rather looking forward to it as I have never been on one before. We had seats allocated and the train was packed to capacity. For a journey of 580 Km to Milan with stops in Florence and Bologna we had 3 hours 15 minutes allocated, not bad when you think. We had a great time in Switzerland, and I would love to return sometime to partake in the plethora of outdoor activities including white-water rafting, mountain hiking, biking and lake kayaking. You see more of a country with locals and we owe a great debt to Ruth and Thomas for their kind and generous hospitality - danke schon and tschuelli!

We get there and our host told us she was going to Barcelona for the week for vacation. And her parents don’t really speak English. So it was going to be an interesting week. But they ...

... was like "I want to go in here, no wait that shop looks cool - I want to go in that shop as well", and it's like this never ending of being amazed by all the cool things around. The buildings are old and beautiful in themselves..I could live here. This truly is the heart of Switzerland.

We come to the famous Old Clock Tower.
    It was MASSIVE.
