Visiting Grandma!
... i found piglets alive in china! :) It was set up to keep the history of chinese farming alive, but now its just a nice day out wandering around and there is a large lake in the middle with boat rides and ox rides and a funfair! It was brilliant, we had so much fun! I learnt a lot too! Alissa was a lot like me and we got on so well, it was a shame i only got to meet her for one day! But we keep in touch through email and QQ and were planning to meet up in suzhou before i leave! :)

We have noticed the amount of exposed electrical wiring in
the countryside as well as the cities and not a lot of evidence of the
underground wiring we are used to on the roads in NZ. Also on buildings under
repair and construction the fragile looking scaffolding that we did not think
would pass OSH here!
Arriving at Guilin again we went to another of the
inevitable 'show and sell', this time sea and fresh- water pearls, ...
Our final days in China
... All went without incident and everyone cooked a pretty amazing meal that we all then enjoyed together. Even Matt's meal was edible and really rather nice.
Pretty tired we went for a couple of beers at the local rooftop hostel and then bed.
The next day was cycling through the local villages. I have not been on a bike for 20 years and was not best pleased! I got on and wobbled down the road much to Roses concern! She instantly offered me a helmet ...

We have at last managed to defeat the Great Firewall of China, to bring you unadulterated access to our adventures!
