I am officially on my way to New York City (currently over Michigan!) and the trip is going well so far. The seat next to me on the plane is open, which always a bonus, AND our travel agent gave me a little upgrade which never hurts J

... to, was meeting Brad. He's a 15-year old Springsteen fan and we met through BTX and tennis (long stoty, never mind). He lives in Detroit and so made it to the pre party and show. Great to finally meet him. Conor you're next, okay? ;)

The show was amazing. But Bruce does need to polish up his geographical skills. He kept referring to Ohio while he was in Michigan. Ah well, he had a classy way around it: "It took me forty years to **** that up". Ha!

I am still at home. Only one more week. Being away from my home for three weeks requires a lot of preparation. I even know the movie that are going to have on the Flight. I am tired already!! Since I will be on a plane for almost 24 hours, I am collecting all the necessary stuff needed to be comfortable.

The Factory tour was a very well planned one taking us to the ‘historic Footage’ which is a fifteen minute cinema showing the history of the Ford rouge. It was done on a very sensitive level touching the viewers personally the Up and downs it went through. Henry Ford’s ultimate dream of having a self – sufficient production unit was understood.

(Detroit, Sunday, July 29, 2007)-Tonight's my first gig on this trip to Detroit and I'll be playing with my original ensemble, the Motor City Blues Scholars, including founding members Martin 'Tino' Gross on drums and 'Showtime' Johnny Evans on tenor saxophone, plus Jeff 'Baby' Grand on guitar and Mr. Phil Hale on keys and keyboard bass. Stopped quickly at Dearborn, Michigan to find a sporting goods store before going to the airport. The cab driver had no clue where he was going but we eventually made it to a huge depressing strip mall. Bought some stuff and had a bite to eat and then took another cab to the airport. Had a beer and tortilla chips at Chili's at the airport and made our way back home. A quick, exciting trip and well worth any jet lag that might hit me.

... met, I really had no want to come back to a place where I see all the same people I see everyday and do all the same things I did before I left. I did want to see my family and friends, don't get me wrong, but I really could have stayed in London forever. The flight sucked. I couldn't sleep, but was exhausted.
