Captain's Log: Day 4 - One mile over CA Boarder - Miles traveled 292

We started the day thinking we would head to California so I could earn my sticker, then drive back to Kingman, AZ to spend 2 nights. But my sister Carla sent a link to an RV resort that was just over the California state line, Pirate's Cove ( ). Since we had nothing special to do in Kingman tonight, we decided to give it a go. From Daughter – WE MADE IT TO CALIFORNIA!!!! Today we started in New Mexico and expected to spend the night in Flagstaff, Arizona with a day trip to Sedona, but due to weather conditions (cold and overcast) we decided to push straight through AZ to CA.

It was another spectacularly scenic day of driving. The pictures don't really do it justice because of the weather. Mountain driving was a new challenge, but the RV was up to it with plenty ...

Hearing that everyone back home is fed up with the rain and cold, I'm extremely happy to have spent Christmas and New Year in Arizona. Although I didn't realise that the desert doesn't stay hot all year round, it's still been dry enough to get out and about.

Commonly referred to as the Grand Canyon State, the Grand Canyon of course is the highlight. However, the state of Arizona offers a huge amount more. I recommend ...
