After a great nights sleep in the apartment we were up and getting ready for the day by 10am. Our plan for the day was to visit Perth Zoo over in the south. It was a beautiful morning, the sun was scorching! We took the Red Cat bus from the Carlton stop and grabbed a coffee on Hay St. before making our way down the the ferry terminals at Barrack Square. We paid for two one way tickets over to the south of Perth at $2.10 each and waited for the ferry, around 15 minutes later ...

It was a beautiful morning today, we woke just after 9am. We made our way into the city for breakfast, stopping at Croissant Express for one of their cappuccinos and chocolate croissants! Following on we had a little wander around Hay St. Mall before making our way back to The Barracks to put some socks and trainers on (we had flip flops on and our toes were going cold, it was 18 degrees!! It was just after 9:30am when we headed out into the city today, after making our stop off at Croissant Express (we earned a free coffee today) we checked in at Woolworths for some lunch supplies before making our way to the Ferry Terminals. After purchasing two one way tickets at $2.10 each we sat on the jetty and waited for the 10:45 ferry to take us over the Swan River to South Perth. We arrived exactly 5 minutes after ...

... up to the Roundhouse. It is the oldest building in Fremantle and was built as a prison. On the seaward side of it is a mast with a range of flags there is also a cannon which is still fired at 1:00 pm each day. It was originally fired to enable ship cress to set their times accurately. After lunch on the foreshore we visited a market in old storage sheds at the port. Then we did two ...

We hoppped on the colourful fun Virgin plane and counted down the 5 hours until home. I really was over flying by then and couldnt get comfortable. Thankfully Matt had no issues as i was worry about his back being sore. We watched more movies and as we got off the plane there was Momma Bear and Ashy with big grins on all our faces.

What an adventure but boy i am glad to be home!
