After a great nights sleep in the apartment we were up and getting ready for the day by 10am. Our plan for the day was to visit Perth Zoo over in the south. It was a beautiful morning, the sun was scorching! We took the Red Cat bus from the Carlton stop and grabbed a coffee on Hay St. before making our way down the the ferry terminals at Barrack Square. We paid for two one way tickets over to the south of Perth at $2.10 each and waited for the ferry, around 15 minutes later ...

It was a beautiful morning today, we woke just after 9am. We made our way into the city for breakfast, stopping at Croissant Express for one of their cappuccinos and chocolate croissants! It was just after 9:30am when we headed out into the city today, after making our stop off at Croissant Express (we earned a free coffee today) we checked in at Woolworths for some lunch supplies before making our way to the Ferry Terminals. After purchasing two one way tickets at $2.10 each we sat on the jetty and waited for the 10:45 ferry to take us over the Swan River to South Perth. We arrived exactly 5 minutes after ...

... not the best place to drag a car out of soft sand). Within a couple of minutes of dragging we were out and set free! Pumped up the tyres at the local caravan park, gave the drunken Aussies some more beer to keep them going. Back on the road again. Car stinking of burnt clutch. We headed 800kms down to South West Australia to Dunsborough. Ran out of petrol, 500kms into the drive, timed it well so we slept at a campsite come petrol station for the ...

... what am I going to do for the remaining 14½ hours before check in? Decided to go and get some last minute Sea, Sun & Sand to kill some time and build up my Vitamin D. It was fabulous until an early Sea Breeze kicked in, so I wandered up the beach for lunch at the Naked Fig. The final wait has begun checked in and farewells said to Jill and Sooty, just waiting for the ...
