After visiting many of our favourite places, and going back to Levkas for someone to view Kerenne we have arrived in Kastos. With a Force 5 blowing from the west there is some doubt about whether the anchor is holding but after taking it in a little all seems OK, fingers crossed.

WiFi not good enough to upload photos so will only be posting map pins for now........

As we headed west the ...

We arrive in Katakolon about 10 a.m, mooring alongside the town. We have some time before our tour, so we explore this small town.
It takes us about an hour to walk down the main street and back. This is clearly a tourist town, with regular visits from cruise ships.
Our tour takes us to the ruins of ancient Olympia. As we travel through some small and larger towns, the impact of the collapse of the Greek economy is evident. Lots of empty shops and ...

... been here a couple of times during our time in the Ionian Sea, but never been into the actual Harbour, which is very pretty and usually full. Once again we arrived and yep..it was full again. so no way could we go here. Oh well, another time.......maybe.

So, instead we decided to make our way to a favourite bay of ours, Spartachori on Meganisi island. We love it here, good food, lovely clear waters and usually other friends are around here too.
