... The spacious balcony overlooking the beach –the perfect spot for a cocktail at sunset. Waking up each day, to the endless blue sea was truly inspiring. I would get up in the night only to see the moon shining over the water. A poster-like scene that remains vivid in my mind.

The superb King size bed with duvet covering and pillows preserved a state of constant serenity. Linens bright, spotless and fragrant.

We have been here a whole week and have slept most of the time! Poor Patrick has had a couple of days in bed with a cold but better now. In between periods of sleep we have had a couple of lovely walks to Charakopio, our nearest town and Kombi, our nearest village. Also to local beaches for a paddle. Too cold to swim just yet. ... gymnasium stadium which was in the valley down from the site entrance.

However, much of our time was just sitting on the beach reading, staring into the distance at the mountains over the other side of the Messinian Gulf and swimming in the gorgeous water. Bliss! We did have more energetic days when we drove the empty lanes up in the hills where the smell of the herbs wafted through the open windows and the views were breathtaking.
