The building swoops down a hillside moving you down from the earlest history to the last stages of pre-Hispanic development. And many of the artefacts are breathaking in their beauty, in the miracle of their preservation (life-size pottery models of gods etc) and in the excellence of the preservation.
So that's it for this posting - a museum to be celebrated and lots of photos of exhibits.
... funny story! We came back for one last night in El Tunco at the one and only Papaya Lodge. We had a lot of people to say goodbye to and I gave Nelson, the night guard/all round top bloke the pair of shoes I had that were too big for me. They fitted him perfectly and he was visibly stoked and gave me one of the Papaya Lodge work shirts. We had our shuttle booked for the next afternoon and we waited, not wanting to leave.... and then it never turned ...
... since I felt that rush. I suppose being in a long- term relationship nixes that sensation. (But it also nixes the less than lovely sensation of unrequited love...) Anyway, watching those two connect gave me a sort of romantic contact high. It also made me remember how nice it is to take time and smell the roses...or to be a voyeur. Life is unfolding all around us all the time...When was the last time you sat still long enough to take it in?

Anyway get on plane everyone speaking to me in thick fast mex Spanish I try to say some basics it just about gets me through but to be honest iv no idea what people are saying to me basically body language and frantic signing is my language lol

... cheques because they are just too difficult to cash. The anks won't cash them so you need a international money change place. Will not take travellers cheques next time and will not bring amercian cash. Get the pesos in your own country and use interact and credit cards. I find this very annoying.
