    The Anthropological Museum in Xalapa (an otherwise unremrkable town) s reckoned to be the second best in Mexico - after the national museum in Mexico City. And that might well be true, but the day we visited the National Museum it was very crowded (being a free of charge entry day for Mexicans, if not for us) and not having enough descriptive material in English.

    ... this time around, there was Dan and Steph who were in the room next door then Jonno and Farls, two Aussie lads rocked up a few days later plus a heap of other people we met and hung out with over the time. The first thing I did when we got there was buy a surfboard off Aaron, a local guy we had met last time we were there, and that began the ritual of 1 or 2 surfs a day for the next month!     ... since I felt that rush. I suppose being in a long- term relationship nixes that sensation. (But it also nixes the less than lovely sensation of unrequited love...) Anyway, watching those two connect gave me a sort of romantic contact high. It also made me remember how nice it is to take time and smell the roses...or to be a voyeur. Life is unfolding all around us all the time...When was the last time you sat still long enough to take it in?

    Anyway get on plane everyone speaking to me in thick fast mex Spanish I try to say some basics it just about gets me through but to be honest iv no idea what people are saying to me basically body language and frantic signing is my language lol

    ... cheques because they are just too difficult to cash. The anks won't cash them so you need a international money change place. Will not take travellers cheques next time and will not bring amercian cash. Get the pesos in your own country and use interact and credit cards. I find this very annoying.
