... 50km from Antalya and saw signs for a town called Kemer with a population of 20,000. I quickly weighed my options up, thought back to breaking down in the middle of nowhere in Bosnia and decided to drive into the town to find somewhere to park amongst civilisation. ... was very pretty, and was located in a very pretty setting, and for that alone I do commend it, but for what it offered us I can’t really recommend it. Perhaps summer months may be more enjoyable, as the beach would offer an uncultured yet pleasant relief for many people.

Being now $100.00 US$ poorer but for a good cause, Michel and I waited patiently at the front of the Marmara Hotel for the other people from the group to arrive. It was 9:00am and we had just returned from our early morning exploration of the hotel’s surroundings in which we found an area that brought us down the cliff and to sea level.
