A full day today! First I went to the Stadtgeschichtliches Museum Leipzig! and I was blown away! What a terrific museum. I spent all my time in the "Moderne Zeiten" part of the exhibit, which covered about the last two hundred years of Leipzig's history. The information about the "peaceful revolution" (the protest demonstrations in Leipzig that started the end of the GDR in fall 1989) we're really moving. Next: ...

Got to Leipzig around 1:00 p.m. and dropped my suitcase at the hotel. From there I went to the Baumwollspinnerei, which is now a complex of galleries, studio spaces, and design/marketing companies.
