Phew, what a day. After overnight rain the temperature in Berlin was a lot cooler than yesterday. That said it was still in low 20s so very pleasant.

Samson and I picked up the car and managed to navigate our way back to the hotel to pick up G&G. We then headed south towards Colditz Castle. The plan was to save time tomorrow and visit Colditz today. Despite getting a reasonable size car we just managed to squeeze all the bags into the boot. we left the hotel by about 11.30am ...

The last answer is correct as the label on the item in the city museum indicated "Sardinenheber" or sardine lifter. Does anyone wish to place an order for one? It could be very useful and the winner actually has an item like it in her drawer. Congratulations!
