... was closed haha. But the city view itself on the water looks magnificent. Beautiful view and high rises. After walking for a while in the dreadful heat we finally tried to find one of the 3 hostels here in town apparently (all hotels and condos here). Finally found it. We have now figured we don't want to stay so rather than stay here before heading more east to the nice islands we're going tomorrow, heading to Koh Chang. Stay there a while, relax, beach. ... song-tow on the way back so I could have another little cry! I think I found it especially hard because of previous experience of working with children with disabilities and knowing how easily the lives of the children here could be changed with a few simple toys, sensory walls, activities etc. But grrr, I can't say too much as I will only get frustrated. We are all pleased that they appear to be clean, well fed and have a place ...

... into the budget. One good thing though is that Loz and I can often share meals as neither of us can finish a whole one. Her (weight) loss is my gain! We found a really lovely cocktail bar which serves gorgeous drinks for 99B (2 pounds), has lovely staff and right by our hotel.

We have now had two very lazy days in Pattaya, just mooching about and chilling by the pool before the real hard work begins with the tour and all the ...
