... travelling for 3 months by taking long service leave and nearly at the end of their trip. Breakfast today (Tuesday) was at the hotel then lazing about the covered deck in the breeze and intermittent cloud cover listening to the very diverse Greek radio station Maria has on speaker, bit like Smooth FM. ... of busloads of Russian tourists Oia did manage to retain a bit of its small town charm. Nathan and I especially enjoyed visiting Atlantis Books, a small bookshop tucked away in the basement of an old house.

... up outside the hotel, we were greeted, given a glass of wine and informed our room had been upgraded and included a private pool! It was about 2 pm when we arrived and a bit cloudy. We ventured out into the main strip to see a bit of the sunset and had so many restaurants to pick from. Ampelos was recommended and it overlooked the caldera. Was beautiful and enjoyed some sagnaki!

... eclipse last night and we didn't know so we didn't go out to see it. bummer. would have been perfect from our balcony.
