Early start for the airport this morning. We've dropped bags off, Kevin to now drive rental car back to drop off point which is about 5 mins away. They open at 7:30 and we board at 7:35 so bit of a tight squeeze. For some reason, I seem to be electronically challenged these days. For the life of me, I couldn't get the phone to make the call no matter how I tried to dial it. We had a wonderful time visiting Stephanie and Steve who we know from Santa Barbara. They live just outside Toulouse in a small village. Katie loved spending time with their girls and had lots of chances for snuggling and playing in parks.

... we drove to Revel, then Castres and then revisited Carcassone. We allowed ourselves to be easily diverted and found many an interesting sight. Carcassone was the most tourist oriented sight but also the most complete old walled city area. Of course now it is full of torture museums (don't forget the inquisition), kitsch tourist keepsakes, icecream, crepe and lolly shops. The weather has favoured us and tomorrow we head to the pyreneees. ...
