Today is the very last day of my 50s. Yes, tomorrow I turn 60. And the next day, we leave for India! I have distinctly mixed feelings about this trip. It's scary! Our early morning walk took us to Beuna Vista Park, which is quite close, but rises sharply to 180 metres. The tracks were so steep I nearly had to give up, but I made it and the reward for all that hard work was the most amazing clear views from all directions.

We were fascinated to watch a woodpecker at work. The park is very bushy, wild and overgrown.

... being a woman hulahoop dancing in the middle of the street! Back to the hotel, via another ride on a cable car, to get changed then we went to In n Out Burger for tea. I'd read that the burgers were good but I wasn't prepared for just how good! We went back to Ghirardelli's for another sundae (shared this time, too full from the burger!) and then came back to the hotel and crashed. ...

We then went on a walking tour around China Town, where we went to the first ever Fortune Cookie Factory (never knew they were first invented in San Fran), saw the cafe were the Godfather was meant to have been written and went to Levi's Plaza . . . I also didn't know demin was invented here. Exceptional tour lead by Lynn Scott . . . helped a little by the
Lonely Planet guide! Also brought incredible new Reef shoes . . beautiful :) :)
