Bahnhofstrasse 35, (formerly Merkur Hotel and Restaurant Interlaken) Interlaken, Bernese Oberland, Swiss Alps, Switzerland, CH-3800, 41-33-826-77-88
Külastasime Interlakeni piirkonda, kus on palju ilusaid järvesid, mille vesi on täiesti kristallselge ja iga põhjakivi on hästi näha. Paar tundi sõitsime ülesmäkke rongiga, sest Jungfraujochi muudmoodi pole võimalik minna. Nimelt on tegemist sellise kohaga nagu Top of Europe, mis on üks populaarseim külastuskoht Šveitsis. 3454 m kõrgusel trepist üles ronida on lausa võhmalevõttev; suusatades pole õhuhõredust nii hästi tunda. Peale meie oli seal üleval arvutu hulk...indialasi! Tekkis mei...

... expensive. We could see that there was some sort of market or festival going on beside the lake near the train station so we had fajitas and hot dogs for dinner while the girls had some fairy floss. There were guys selling roasted chestnuts, I had tried them years ago, but couldn't remember what they were like. Both Greg and I really liked them and I can understand why Europeans really miss them when they move to Australia.
Lucerne, Lucerne, Switzerland kiama_on_tour... side of the river.
We obliged and it took us a good twenty minutes to retrace our steps and then another half an hour along this path before we FINALLY found the lake. We had been walking for over two and a half hours at this point, and the whole walk should probably have taken us about an hour if we had gone the right way!
At the end of the path we found a couple of swans waiting for us who seemed most upset to see us. Witek being Witek tried to pat one and it ...
... made our way over mountain passes. We have even found our way blocked as we tried to take a pass that was, much to our surprise, closed. We’ve driven around snow and rocks on the road. We’ve had lights flashing hoping to be seen in dense fog. It has been a wonderful week. I absolutely love the atmosphere here in Switzerland. The architecture and the love of nature…not to mention the food!
Tomorrow we head to Zurich to spend time with Katherina.
... Mürren to Gimmelwald and as like and annonymous backpacker once put it "If heaven isn't what it's cracked up to be, send me back to Gimmelwald," and boy he was not wrong this place will take your breath away. The hikes and cable cars in the Alps are a once-in-a-lifetime experience that everyone should do on a clear day. The views from the top of the mountains are just spectacular. Today is our relaxing day after yesterdays Marathon 6 hour hike ...
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland dinoshonaVisited Chaeteau de Chillon in Montreaux. We got free admission using the Swiss Pass :Dd We had ham and chese crepe (9 CHF).
The Chaeteau was beautiful!!! We took a bus after getting off the train. We toured inside the Chaeteau and got very good free wine there :D I guess it was champagne.
... frozen brussell sprouts which work quite effectively too). Well lea left for some well deserved lea time back at Selematt by herself and my host dad (or host husband as he prefers to be known....quite a amusing fella. I am the wife in the attic...literally cause that's where I sleep!) took me to the big mountain the Santis as a surprise yesterday! Unreal!!! We went up in a cable car and the view was (you guessed it...) SPECTACULAR!!!! On a good day you can see the french ...
Reute, Switzerland shazzasheila... started moving we walked to the lake to enjoy a beautiful view of Geneva. I could sit here for hours people watching and feeding the birds. We are resting up for the big wine festival this weekend. For dinner we went to eat at Soupcon. This is a chic restaurant owned by one of Ygor's very good friends. Talk about some fine dining! Thanks Heather! :) At the end Jaques(restaurant owner) came at chatted with us.. he is a super funny guy! Nothing but good times!
Geneva, Switzerland timbertimeAfter a cold first night in Lausanne, we rode the few kilometres to the painfully named fishing village of Ouchy where we left the bikes and, ignoring travel book advice, walked not bussed up the steep hill into the old town. Described by the same book as "Switzerland's sexiest town", it is certainly a pretty - but not that sexy - city. We stopped off at the hard-to-find Musee de l'Elysee photography museum that was running a portrait exhibition ...
Lausanne, Switzerland a_schafs... above. Nick caught me disappearing from reality. "What?" he asked me. This time, I was the one who said it. "It doesn't get any better than this, does it?" He was taken aback by the unexpected philosophical comment. It took him a moment to meet me in my state of mind. "No, it really doesn't." he correctly responded. At the end, we were led straight into the lake Thunersee. Malika let us jump in. It was so freezing! DEL STORY: Del doesn't know how to swim. He just never got ...
