Toompuiestee 27 Tallinn, Estonia, 667-7100
The main centre is 30 minutes walk away from the commune. It is quite a pleasant walk - wooden houses and quiet 'burbs, as well as nice parks and green spaces. Tallinn doesn't feel crowded until you get to the tourist areas. In the centre there are half a dozen old streets criss-crossing, with several squares opening out. The medieval town wall runs round most of the city, still.
Next to the pink parliament building, is a stunning Russian ...

Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia leedu... as the final resting place of many of the old families that have lived in the town for the past centuries. Around the outside of the church are now restaurants and stores that coexist well in this medieval walled city. The few automobiles that are here and in the lower sections appear to be somewhat out of place in this medieval society. All of the walks and roadways of the city are made of cobblestones. While scenic they require more energy and caution to walk ...
Tallinn, Estonia danharriet... Hall Square has also become the traditional centre of the Old Town Days festival, a modern version of a medieval carnival. Appropriately enough, traditions from the Middle Ages are meticulously kept alive here, and I would say there is hardly a better setting for knights' tournaments, parrot-shooting contests and similar antics. Surprisingly, on the Town Hall Square you can see the Town Hall, too. This Tallinn Town Hall is in fact the best-preserved Medieval town hall in Northern Europe ...
Tallinn, Estonia the_wayfarer... minutes were just a formality. However, we can't complain really. Spain lead Group 5 with nine points from three games, we've had an unbeaten run of 25 games, we're now top of the FIFA ranking and and we look well on our way to South Africa 2010. I just wonder if I am too? I would appreciate any comments on the content of this blog and if you would like to read more example of my writing on the Net, just click on the links on my profile page. Tallinn, Estonia simonharris... quite anxious yesterday when reading at the Maritime museum about the Baltic being "a dangerous waterway", however it was very still today. Our crossing took 1 hour 40 mins. As I say, there were island at first, but then we passed quite a number of other ships and yachts going in the other direction. When we reached Tallinn we deliberated about whether to walk or taxi to the hotel. In the end we decided to taxi, but it was only about a km, so we could have walked. We ...

Tallinn, Estonia nordvision... their chairs all night. As for language difficulties.. There are none. Everyone speaks English, and when I asked someone if they did (to see if there was a place to get a soft drink late at nigt (there wasnt)) he replied 'of course I do.' The next days city tour was a pleasant amble through the cobbled streets and stone walls of the old town. It was really quiet, like a ghost town, which is one of the joys of going off season. However it ...

Tallinn, Estonia nipitiri... the capitol...where we are in Estonia. Sorry, should have mentioned this earlier). Don't get me wrong, a lovely city, but not all that big and the weather has been, well, uncooperative (around forty, with wind). Undeterred, we've done our fair share of walking around and talking about things that we could do if we were more ambitious (head to another city in Estonia, go to national park two ...
