Newquay in the sun
It was a whilstlestop tour of Surfers Paradise - and our last stop in Queensland before heading down to New South Wales and Byron Bay.
We arrived in the afternoon on day 1 and checked into our apartment which was in Southport - a 45 minute walk from Surfers Paradise before heading out to explore this famous surfing town.

Caitlin also got to feed a very clever seagull who snatched a piece of squid off her in a flash.
After ray feeding we watched the Nickelodeon street pageant before taking the sky rail to the other side of the park to watch the 5 minute Spongebob 3D movie.

The Trip through Cliff's eyes
... I really start getting motivated to do things. Thankfully I do not return to work until the 10th so have been able to relax and clear my jet lag for as long as I wish.
But back to the trip, the dream that started after a few too many wines in my cellar many years ago but grew into reality with me arriving around midnight into Jacksonville on the 15th of July 2012.

... to do allot of the things again from the first visit. So we watched Scooby Doo solve a mystery, enjoyed all the rides at the Kids Fun Zone and watched the All Star Street Parade which is great.
But they also got to see, cuddle and have their photos taken with some new characters including Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Sylvester and Tweety Bird.

Today we decided to take a walk whilst the kids scootered along the foreshore. Along the way we stopped at a number of different parks which, as we have found with most of Queensland are very impressive. The kids really enjoyed the flying fox, pedal rail cars and swings.
It was then back to the caravan for a coffee or two while watching the boats and jetskis go by. Courtney was exhausted and had a much needed sleep before we took off to Sea World.
