Today we decided to hop a bus to the nearby island of Naantali, which is meant to be a happening summer hotspot with beaches, nature parks, an amusement park for Moomin (the creepiest children's characters ever... if you've never heard of them, see this), a beautiful old town, a harbour, etcetera. It all sounded pretty good to us, so we made our way into the centre of town this morning and got some local transit passes, and headed out.

... the beautiful scenery. The champagne lounge was at the very front the of the ship so we had amazing views, but I still ran up go the top deck to get some god pictures. It was a beautiful sail.

By 10pm we were getting tired and I wanted to see the rest of the ship, so we walked around and saw the club, casinos, restaurants, etc. It's a popular trek for tourists, so there were lots of Russians, Swedish and Finnish tourists. Colin was tired and went to the room but ...

... in early. During the check-in process, we learned that she, and most of the nuns here, had relocated from India. She spoke flawless English, along with Finnish and Italian. The LP guidebook claims that this place is the cleanest hostel in Finland. This is likely to be true. Our room was spotless. As the old adage goes....cleanliness is next to godliness. I guess the nuns are keeping up their end of the bargain. I was extremely tired, so I unloaded my bags ...
