Colin and I were booked on the Viking Grace that evening, a ~12 hour cruise that sails through the Archipelago out of Finland and to Stockholm. Pekka and Anneli drove us to the dock in Turku and we said our goodbyes (which included multiple hugs and pictures). We finally boarded the ship and found our cabin (surprisingly large) and then headed straight to the champagne lounge. ... about the water temperature on that first run out to the sea, but I jumped in before Colin and realized it was refreshing and not quite as cold as I expected. Kind of like Lake Bomoseen in the summer. We did three trips from the sauna to the sea before calling it quits, then rinsed off with filtered rainwater that sits in the sauna after the last sea dip. Remember, I said there was no running water. Who's calling me high maintenance now?!?

... of time so we had an hour until we had to be checked in, but it was going to take us an hour to get to the city. Joe put his foot down and we made it just in time. Crisis averted!
