... it was free to get into (good for us budget travellers). We were grateful for this when we got in as it wasn't too easy for us to follow, and were still too tired to attempt to concentrate. At least we got a picture of Abi in a funny hat out of it. The temple was a whole other story with beautiful colours and detail. We didn't really grasp what the lying down Buddha was about, but it's fine, we can google that later... We embraced the ...

We went to Siam which has a lot of shopping malls, most famous is probably MBK. Was ...

After breakfast i headed back and waited for the bus pickup. A guy showed up at 7am and i went with him to another area where i met two young girls from
BC. We chatted a bit before i was ushered off to my transport. There i boarded ...

... from the hotel!! As far as we are aware - in a nutshell - the protesters want to topple the current Prime Minister, Yingluck Shinawatra and elect more of a people's council as they feel she is controlled and a basic front for her billionaire brother (and former premier) Thaksin. They have blocked several of the cities main intersections where hundreds of people line the streets daily sleeping on the roadside in makeshift tents; continuing two months of demonstrating, ...
