Highlights: recovery day; magical massages; tropical storm; Benihani dinner So my crash yesterday actually did a bit of harm. Couldn't believe the bruise on my chest once I actually looked!! Most concerning tho' was my knee. Spent the day reclined with Rich scooting me about in a wheelchair. Wonderful care at hotel. People selling stuff like food, clothes, bits and bobs like everywhere. Saw a little monitor ...

... 2 USD). Okay, whatever. I gave him 60 Baht. He then says no no, 860 Baht. Im looking at the meter which reads 65 Baht, as of that moment and I told him, that this was a metered ride. He said- no whole ride is 860. I said, no. He pulled over on the small shoulder of the highway we were on and wouldn't continue until i handed over the other 800 Baht. All I could think of was this guy literally has me on the side of a busy highway and there's nothing I can do ...
