21st June, breakfast at 8am in the Inn, graprefruit, croissants, baguette, jam and coffee and off we went.
We decided to take a short trip in the Gorges of Restonica, leading to 2 lakes but not enough times for the 1 and 1/2 hour walk. Beautiful scenery, stopped quickly by the river.

... set a mean pace on the walk. It’s a steady 2 hour climb to a bridge (‘La Passerelle’) crossing La Tafignino, picnic lunch, and a little shorter to return. It’s stunning countryside with craggy mountainous vistas – but I must be a little unfit, as I return exhausted. A little too much good food and wine, I hear some say? No: not possible… But suitably recuperated after a bracing swim in the hotel pool (the water is at least 18°) ...
